Sean H. Harmon

Sean has been practicing in the Miami Valley for nearly 30 years. He is a principal at StachlerHarmon.

Sean hails from Indianapolis, IN and was raised by a family of small business owners. The value of hard work and dedication to family have been two of the lasting impressions of growing up “going to work.” An entire career of advising closely held family businesses has done nothing to change that impression.

Sean is a graduate of Cathedral High School and attended the University of Notre Dame for his undergraduate work, earning a B.A. in English Literature. Sean received his law degree, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Dayton School of Law 1997. Sean is licensed to practice in Ohio, the Southern District of Ohio Federal court and United States Tax Court.

Sean’s practice focuses on all aspects of representing successful family businesses and the constituents thereof – centering upon general business representation, mergers and acquisitions, contract drafting and review, succession planning, estate planning, probate court work and real estate. Helping multi-generational businesses grow and thrive, and advising up to three generations of owners on a wide variety of legal matters is what keeps Sean excited to come to the office on a Monday morning.

Sean has also been recognized as a Rising Star and a Super Lawyer over multiple years in the practice area of Business. Super Lawyers is an honor given to the top 2.5% of lawyers in Ohio. Sean is also very active with the Grace2Griddle food ministry he co-founded with John Stachler. Grace2Griddle is a mobile food ministry that travels around the area to serve individuals with food security issues across the Dayton and greater Cincinnati area.

Sean has been a youth coach in both basketball and lacrosse, and has been a member of the Board of Directors of several local and national not-for-profit entities. Taking every opportunity he can to travel, and spend time with friends and family, Sean calls Springboro, Ohio home.
