MATTHEW T. TIPTON

Matthew T. Tipton

Matt handles a variety of litigation and business matters for the firm's clients, including both for-profit and nonprofit businesses. Matt was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Stow, Ohio. After high school, he received his bachelor's degree in May 2008 from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Aviation Business Administration, graduating summa cum laude. Matt also earned a minor in Mathematics. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law, graduating magna cum laude, in May 2011. While in law school, Matt had the privilege to serve as the Managing Editor of the Dayton Law Review.

Prior to joining the firm, Matt served as an extern for Justice Evelyn Lundberg Stratton at The Supreme Court of Ohio. This experience helped mold Matt into a becoming a collaborative thinker, taking a team approach to solving complex legal problems.

During law school, Matt also started coaching soccer in his local community. Coaching is a passion for Matt, and he utilizes the same “team first” mentality when practicing law. Matt has a strong belief that a team can accomplish more than any one individual. Matt is a member of the American Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, and Dayton Bar Association, and is also licensed to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. He currently resides in Springboro, Ohio with his wife, Jamie, and is the goalkeeper coach for the University of Dayton Women's Soccer program.
